Kosi Okpala

Top-tier athlete at the EDGE/OLB position that displays incredible first step quickness and upfield burst to cause disruption in the offensive backfield. Elite bend and change of direction allow Okpala to consistently bend the edge the the QB as a pass rusher. Incredible stop/start quickness and acceleration plays both as a run defender and pass rusher, showing a top-tier ability to extend run plays to the perimeter of the field. Very good use of hands with an impressive feel for avoiding the initial punch of OL make Okpala incredibly difficult for OL to square up in pass protection. 

Okpala is a very good run defender that shows a high level of physical and competitive toughness. He displays very good angle processing to the ball carrier in the backfield and elite closing quickness when he decides to trigger. As he continues to develop physically and add strength, Okpala shows the upside of a top-tier EDGE defender at the P4 level.
