Lettered in football at Newbury Park High School three times... a two-time CIF Champion... named first team All-County and first team All-League... as a senior, he made 50 tackles, three tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries, two pass breakups and a forced fumble... had 654 all-purpose yards and 10 touchdowns on offense.
