John Schobel

Long-levered LB/TE combination that displays an impressive ability to find the football and good power on contact as a tackler. While he has played primarily ILB at the HS level, his best fit moving forward at the college level would be as an EDGE defender where he can use his length to create seperation from blockers and hold the POA in run support. 

Solid athletic ability with good foot quickness and COD with solid acceleration, burst, and foot speed. Shows good processing quickness with good angle processing to the ball carrier. Displays good drop quickness in coverage with good feel for hitting his landmarks in Zone coverage. 

Schobel is a technically-proficient defender that shows good technique both in coverage and as a tackler. With added strength and weight from a college program, he can develop into a nice D-2 prospect with upside to reach the FCS level.
