As a 2017 junior, he made USA Today All-Arizona first team, 5A All-Conference first team and 5A Northeast Valley Region Offensive Player of the Year. As a junior, he had 2,538 all-purpose yards, including 1,135 rushing (on 118 carries), 1,055 receiving (on 33 catches), 193 returning kicks and 155 returning punt, and 28 touchdowns. Notre Dame Prep advanced to the 2017 state 5A championship game. He made 2016 All-5A Northeast Valley Region second team as a sophomore when he ran for 397 yards and had 68 receiving yards while scoring 5 total TDs. He also played baseball and lacrosse at Notre Dame Prep
