Rhyan Sewell

High effort and high motor EDGE that plays with an impressive level of competitive toughness that resulted in a very productive Junior season in 2023. Sewell displays good upfield burst and very good ankle flexion to bend to the QB. He plays with impressive pursuit, continiously fighting to the ball carrier/QB. Displays good upper body strength to create extension to keep his eyes in the backfield, where he shows impressive vision to the ball carrier/QB with good hand strength to shed blockers. Shows a good feel for leveraging his gap and timing his disengagement as a run defender. 

Sewell is an ascending EDGE talent that shows enticing raw ability that can make him an impactful pass rusher and run defender at the next level. His effort and motor he plays with will allow him to contribute early in his college career as a potential Special Teams player as he continues to develop and adjust to the college game.
