Fall 2021 (Sophomore): Appeared in eight games, all in relief … was 4-for-7 on the year with one interception … Tuskegee (9/25): Went 1-for-1 for 11 yards in 45-35 victory in Gulf Coast Challenge in Mobile, Alabama … Florida A&M (10/16): Delivered a two-yard touchdown run in narrow 35-31 loss to the Rattlers … Arkansas-Pine Bluff (11/20): Finished 3-for-5 for 20 yards and an interception in 52-24 season-ending win … added pair of runs for 26 yards.

Spring 2021 (Freshman): Member of team that won first ever HBCU National Championship, earned first undefeated season since 1966 (5-0) and first SWAC Championship since 2006 while contending with pandemic impacted season … got into one game on the year … South Carolina State (3/6): Rushed once for a yard in 31-7 season-opening victory in game that was arranged in a matter of days following a COVID-19 cancellation.

Pelham High School: Played football and baseball for Panthers … earned All-County in basketball and football during career … named basketball All-Area … named to Honor Roll.

Personal: Born on January 31, 2002, Xavier is the son of Sidney and Erica-Edwards Lankford … family includes two siblings, William and Morgan Lankford … currently majoring in Sport Management.
