2022 – Played in three games … part of an offensive line that helped the Falcons lead the nation in rushing with a 326.7 average … the offensive line was a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award, which goes annually to the top offensive line in the nation … the offensive line was key in helping the team lead the nation in time of possession with a 36:33 mark … the unit led the conference and ranked seventh in fewest sacks allowed with a .92 average.

2021 – Played in seven games ... helped the offensive line lead an offense that led the nation in rushing for the second consecutive year with a 327.7 per-game average, while setting a school record for most consecutive weeks to lead the nation in rushing during the season with 10, breaking the old mark of eight set in 2010 ... Air Force was the only team in the nation to average over 300 yards per game ... the offensive line also helped the Falcons lead the nation in time of possession with a 36:35 mark ... the unit featured eight different starting lineups up front, including three different centers ... the offensive line became the first from a group of five school to be named a finalist for the Joe Moore Award as the nation’s top offensive line ... the unit was one of four finalists.

High School – Lettered three years in football, two in track and one in wrestling … two-time first-team all-state honoree in football … named first-team all-conference twice … two-time regional qualifier in the shot put in track … qualified for regionals in wrestling … high school football coach was Bryon Whitten … earned academic all-state honors in track twice and football once.

Personal – Parents are Harry and Terri Heistand … has three siblings … undecided about his major … his father, Harry, was an assistant coach with the Denver Broncos … two other relatives played in the NFL … would like to be involved in football in some capacity in the future.
