As a redshirt freshman, played in 12 games with four starts at tight end … Academic All-Mid-American Conference selection …saw action in 358 plays both on offense and on special teams … concluded year with three receptions for 16 yards … made one catch for four yards at Northern Illinois (11/2) … caught one pass for two yards at Toledo (10/1) … caught first career pass for 10 yards in first career action of season opener at Oklahoma State (9/1).

Redshirted his true freshman season … did not see any game action … contributed at tight end.
