HIGH SCHOOL – Was a two-year starter at Brenham High School, where he played quarterback… completed 105-of-219 passes for 1,598 yards and 16 touchdowns, while rushing for 1,953 yards, a 6.7 average and 19 TDs in his two years … threw for 1,039 yards and 11 touchdowns and rushed for another 1,163 yards and 11 TDs his senior season … high school coach was Glen West.
