Ranked 6th in the Valley in rushing yards per game (71.1), 6th in rushing TD's (9), 7th in total touchdowns (10), 8th in yards per carry (4.56), 8th in scoring (6.0), 9th in rushing yards (711) and 9th in all-purpose yards (88.10) ... Was 48th nationally in rushing touchdowns and 52nd in rushing yards per game ... MSU's top rusher with 156 carries for 711 yards and 9 TDs on the season ... Also led Bears in all-purpose yardage (881) ... MSU's first 700-yard rusher since 2014 ... Kansas State
Wright spent three seasons at Kansas State (2019-21) ... Saw action in five games in 2021, carrying 13 times for 56 yards (4.3 ypc) ... Logged season-high 24 yards on 3 carries in win over Southern Illinois (9/11/21) ... He played in three games at K-State in 2020, racking up 17 yards on 6 carries (2.8 ypc) for the season, including 12 yards (4.0 ypc) on 3 attempts vs. Texas Tech (10/3/20) ... Saw action in three games for the Wildcats in 2019 with 122 yards on 22 carries (5.5 ypc) with a touchdown ... Prepped at St. Teresa High in Decatur, Ill., for coach Mark Ramsey's Bulldogs ... Was rated the 119th-best athlete in the Class of 2019 by 247Sports, while ESPN viewed him as the 107th-best safety and 35th-best player in the state of Illinois ... Rushed for 8,821 yards and 133 touchdowns during his high school career, both ranking as the second-best mark in Illinois high school history ... Was a three-time Macon County Football Player of the Year and was an all-state first-team selection at defensive back in 2018, and second-team honoree as a running back in 2017.
