An All-America honors candidate… A four-year starter, Gubner enters the 2023 season with 38 career starts… One of the top-30 all-time leaders at UM in TFLs with 19… Enters his senior season with 127 total tackles, 7.5 sacks, and 4 interceptions… The team’s second-leading returner in TFLs from 2022.

Posted another outstanding season as one of the top defensive linemen in the conference… Totaled 44 tackles (9 solo), the seventh-most on the squad… Had 7 TFL’s and 3.5 sacks, the third-most on the team… Started all 13 games and finished the year with 38 career starts.

Had a dominant season as a regular starter at nose tackle for Montana, playing in all 13 games with 10 starts… Led the defensive line with 43 tackles, including nine for loss, and one and a half sacks on the season… Forced a fumble versus Sac State and a pass breakup against Eastern Washington… Logged a career-high of eight tackles versus Montana State.

2019 (R-Fr.):
• Phil Steele Magazine Freshman All-American
A nominee for the “Piesman Award”, the D-Tackle led the team and was second in the Big Sky in interceptions with 4 on the season… Picked off passes against North Alabama, Sac. St., Portland St., and Weber St…. Also posted 36 tackles and 2.5 sacks… Played in all 14 games and started 13 of them… Blocked a kick against Weber State in the playoffs.

2018 (Fr.): Was a redshirt.

High School: Received offer from Stephen F. Austin and received interest from Boise State, Fresno State and Massachusetts… Two-year letterman in football… One year letterman in track and field… Won lineman of the year award senior year… Mission League Champions senior year, overall record of 9-3 and ranked a top 20 team in the country by Max Preps for six weeks straight… First team All-Conference and first team All-Area senior year… 10 sacks, 16 TFLs and 70 tackles senior year.
