Jerald Mays

Ascending OT prospect that displays an impressive combination of athletic ability to go along with an impressively refined technique in pass protection that make him incredibly effective in both phases. In pass protection, Mays is light on his feet and displays very good foot quickness and short area redirect to adjust as defenders change their path to the QB. Shows good initial hand placement with independent hand usage. Plays with a good base under him in his pass set, where he shows good set quickness to get to his landmark quickly. 

Very good mover in the run game in an offense that regularly pulls/gets him in space to engage smaller defenders. Shows very good agility, tempo control, and balance to engage smaller defenders in space. Plays with good pad level and lower body strength to engaage and move defenders at the first and second levels.
