Scouting Reports

Scouting Report | Trevor Maki

3/7/2024

03/07/24. OT/DT prospect that is incredible impactful on both sides of the ball. Moore is most heavily recruited as an OT, where he took over as the starting LT in his Sophomore season. Plays with incredible physical and competitive toughness, where he plays with a nasty streak and is consistently looking to finish defenders into the ground. Displays very good strength through his upper body with an impressive snatch technique in pass protection that routinely shuts down EDGE rushers. Displays very good foot quickness, COD, and short area redirect that allows him to maintain the half-man relationshipn with pass rushers. Shows very good initial hand placement with an advanced feel for reworking over the course of the rep to maintain the leverage advantage.

As a run blocker, displays top tier leg drive and lower body strength to generate and sustain movement. Very good at pulling down the LOS on Trap/Wham concepts with very good vision and mental processing to locate defenders in space. Displays advanced feel for tempo control and impressive ability to come to balance in space to engage defenders. Moore displays the competitive toughness as a run blocker to be a true mauler, which would allow him to kick inside to Guard if needed.

At DT, Moore displays very good upfield burst and effort as an interior defender. He plays with violence through his upper body that, when combined with his very good upper body strength, make it very difficult for OL to maintain the engagement. Good finisher as a tackler both in his gap and in space.
