Threw for a career-best 424 yards on 36 of 49 and four touchdowns in the season-opener against Oklahoma State
Saw action in 12 games in which he completed 179 of 318 passes and had 15 touchdowns opposed to five interceptions
Ended the year with 1988 passing yards and used his leges 33 times for the Chippewas
