Throws with very good velocity and spin rate, generating a tight spiral that aids in his elite accuracy. Very good athlete, where he displays very good mobility within the pocket and ability to escape to extend plays. Good top end speed as a ball carrier makes him a legitimate threat as a runner when he leaves the pocket. Displays very good poise and patience in the pocket to let route concepts to develop downfield, where he displays incredible physical toughness to hang in the pocket and deliver passes through contact/while getting hit. 

Horton's best traits are his competitive toughness at the position and his play making ability, where he shows an incredibly impressive ability to play off-schedule and create plays both rolling to his right and left. He maintains his accuracy on the move rolling either direction and his ball placement continues to improve over the course of his high school career. He plays with a level of toughness, both physical and competitive, that makes him a dynamic threat on every single play.
