•   2024: Navy’s starting kicker the entire season, he made 5 of his 9 field goals (55.6) and 50 of his 54 PATs (92.6) ... missed a 38-yard field goal, but was 3 for 3 on PATs in Navy’s Armed Forces Bowl victory over Oklahoma ... made a 27-yard field goal and was 4-4 on PATs in the win over #19 Army ... missed a 21-yard field goal at East Carolina as time expired in the first half and had 1 of his 5 PATs blocked ... made all 4 PATs in the win at USF ... connected on a 21-yard field goal, his lone field goal attempt, at Rice ... missed a 40-yard field goal against #12 Notre Dame, but made both PATs ... made a 22-yard field goal and connected on 6 of the 7 PATs in the Mids’ Homecoming win over Charlotte ... had a 41-yard field goal partially blocked and missed one of his 5 PATs in Navy’s win at Air Force ... it was the second blocked field goal in 12-career attempts ... made all 5 PATs at UAB, while also connecting on a pair of field goals (his first attempts of the season) ... matched his then career best with a 45-yarder in the third quarter and then broke that mark with a 46-yarder in the fourth quarter ... he is the first Navy football kicker to make multiple 40-yard field goals in a game since Joe Buckley kicked 50 and 41-yarders against Wake Forest on Oct. 24, 2009 ... made all 8 of his PATs, becoming the first Navy kicker to make 8 PATs in a game since Bijan Nichols connected on 8 at Houston on Nov. 30, 2019 ... went 4-for-4 on PATs in the win against Temple in the AAC opener ... made 5 of his 6 PATs in the Mids’ win over Bucknell in the opener ... missed the first extra-point he took of the season.

•   2023: Appeared in 9 of the last 10 contests for the Mids ... amassed a team-high 34 points on the year, making 6 of his 9 field goals (66.7) and 16 of his 17 PATs ... also kicked off 18 times for an average of 57.2 yards ... made a 37-yard field goal in his first appearance in an Army-Navy game ... connected on both of his extra-point attempts at SMU ... made 1 of his 3 field goal attempts against East Carolina ... missed a 42-yarder as time expired in the first half, had a second 42-yarder blocked and split the uprights on a 27-yarder midway through the fourth quarter ... made his lone field goal attempt (31 yds) and was 4-for-4 on PATs in the win over UAB ... also handled the kickoff duties (6 KOs, 50.5 avg) due to Evan Warren interviewing for a Rhodes Scholarship ... connected on a career-long 45-yard field goal at Temple ... it’s the longest made field goal by the Mids this season ... made both of his PATs in Navy’s win at Charlotte ... made 3 of his 4 PATs in the win over North Texas ... also handled the kicking off duties, averaging 60.0 yards on 5 kicks ... assumed Navy’s starting kicer role against USF where he made a then career-long 44-yard field goal in the third quarter before missing a 44-yarder in the fourth ... also took over the kicking off duties where he averaged 60.2 yards on 6 kicks ... made his collegiate debut in the Mids’ AAC opener at Memphis ... entered the game midway through the fourth quarter where he drilled a 36-yard field goal on his first-collegiate attempt and his ensuing kickoff went for 65 yards and a touchback.

• High School / Personal: A 2022 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School in Greencastle, Pa., Kirkwood was a four-sport athlete who earned letters in football (3), soccer (3), track & field (4) and Unified bocce (2) ... three-time Mid-Penn Colonial Division kicker who was selected to play in the Pennsylvania Big 33 Game as a senior ... he made a 50-yard field goal in his tryout for the Big 33 Team ... did not play football until his sophomore year of high school ... graduated among the top 65 kickers nationally in the Class of 2022 among Kohl’s kickers ... he was 14 of 15 on field goals, including making a pair of 56-yarders at Kohl’s camp ... two-time state qualifier in the long jump, who also holds the school long jump record ... he also competed in the triple jump and 100- and 400-meter relays ... served as soccer team captain his junior year and captain of the Unified bocce squad as a junior and senior ... member of the National Honor Society ... father, Todd, spent 36 years in the Air Force Reserves, retiring in December of 2021 ... son of Todd and Deena Kirkwood ... majoring in cyber operations, he carries a 3.47 grade-point average.
