Saw limited action and took a redshirt due to injury in 2022 but showed big playmaking potential as a true freshman in 2021 and could play a big role in the offense moving forward.

2022: Took a redshirt while missing most of the season to injury ... A first team Academic All-Big 12 honoree ... Saw limited action in three games, playing against Texas Tech, Iowa State and Oklahoma ... Finished the year with five catches for 54 yards ... Recorded a season-long catch of 24 yards to set up a score in the win over Texas Tech and also made a catch on a two-point conversion near the end of the third quarter to tie the game ... Finished the season with 250 receiving yards to rank fifth on the team and his 13 catches ranked seventh ... His season-best single game receiving total of 84 yards came against Tulsa, and that also led all players in the game ... Scored two touchdowns on the year ... His first was a 26-yard catch against Tulsa that included a broken tackle and was the fifth catch of his career in his second career game ...
