AS A JUNIOR IN 2022:

Named to All-Patriot League first team.
Appeared in 12 games as an offensive lineman.
Part of an offensive line that allowed the Crusaders to rank fifth nationally in scoring offense with 38.8 points per game, and sixth nationally in rushing offense with 243.8 rushing yards per game.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2021:

HERO Sports Sophomore All-America selection.
Named to All-Patriot League first team.
Won the Davitt Award as the team’s top offensive lineman.
Phil Steele’s All-Patriot League second team selection.
Started all 13 games at left tackle.
Led an offensive line that allowed the Crusaders to average 32.2 points per game, 405.6 yards per game and a league-best 203.8 rushing yards per game.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2020:

Appeared in three contests as a reserve offensive lineman.
Shortened season played during Spring 2021 due to COVID-19.

HIGH SCHOOL:

Played for head coach Adam Korzeniewski at Brother Rice High School in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.
Team captain during senior season.
A three-time All-Catholic High School League selection.
Named first team all-state by the Associated Press and the Detroit Free Press.
Did not allow any sacks during his junior or senior seasons.
Also a member of the basketball team.

PERSONAL:

Son of John and Tinney Newman.
Has two sisters (Kate and Claire).
Majoring in economics.
